I have been on hold for right at 47 minutes... I listened to all 7 minutes of prompts and then got the "..or press 0" to speak with someone"... Now at 50 minutes of waiting... The message says to go on line and attempt everything.. When you go on line to check the status of your query (emissions was completed 24 hours ago, but unable to renew on line). Once on line your receive this message "After the two hours have passed and if your plate is still not available, please contact your local County Clerk"..... Now at 54 minutes......... 60 minutes...No wonder it's called the "County Clerk" office. Apparently, there is only one Clerk..
Shout out to Elaine Anderson, Williamson County Clerk, who helped me get an issue resolved on my title. I spoke to her on the phone after leaving and she was very courteous and willing to help. I've always had a great experience at this office, very helpful staff.
No one answers the phone at this location which has resulted in me wasting alot of my time and fuel driving here 3 times over the last week or so trying to register a vehicle. Cannot get any solid dates on when they will receive license plates to make this happen. I will just be registering the vehicle in NY again for this year. Total incompetence, but you can't really expect much else from a government run operation.
Everyone is very helpful but it would be nice if they were open half a day on Saturday and late on Friday, just saying!
I've been here three times since moving about a year ago and have had fast and friendly service each time. I have only good things to say.
