I loved it because there was no fee! And great short trails to explore.
Neat Civil War fort site. A bunch of signs explaining the history of the place and where you are in the layout of the fort. The fort isn't there, but you can still see the earthwork outlines of it and the trenches, which is pretty cool.
I found this place by accident looking for a good place to exercise and ended up spending hours learning about the history of the fort.
I loves this place! It was so cool getting to walk through actual civil war trenches. It's not everyday you can dive back through history like this. Oh, and it's free.
Very well kept landmark. It leads right into a local park. Good place for walks, hiking, running and biking with lots of history. There are also a large variety of insects like caterpillars for those that enjoy seeing all varieties of nature.
