Smallish store, but always seems to have what I need. Small us perfect when I am in a hurry or have the kids with me. Very friendly and helpful staff! I love that I can walk there from my home.
I do not recommend this pharmacy due to inconsistent standards between the pharmacists. I have purchased insulin needles here for over a year with no prescription required. Several months ago I attempted to purchase the needles and the pharmacist refused to sell without a prescription. So I went and got a prescription from my vet who seemed confused about the requirement because this pharmacy had communicated to her office that no prescription is required. So, I take the prescription to the pharmacy a few days later and a different pharmacist says no prescription is required. It was my understanding that the store policy was that no prescription was required and it was a misunderstanding with the other pharmacist. So, I was forgiving. I continued to purchase the needles without a prescription on my next few visits. However, today I attempted to purchase the needles and the pharmacist on duty refused to sell them again. I told her that I had bought them many times with no prescription and she said that it is up the to individual pharmacist on duty (maybe she thinks I look like a druggie?). The store really needs to have a single policy that ALL pharmacists abide by. If I need a prescription that is fine, BUT don't have two different sets of rules. This is highly inconvenient. I will no longer be making any of my pharmacy purchases at the McKays Mill location.
