I lived here for about 6 months during late 2015 into early 2016. I loved everything about this place. I have lived in many different apartments going through college and this one for sure takes the top spot. My unit was perfect and I never had any maintenance issues. I unfortunately had to break my lease early due to a job relocation and through that entire process the management team worked well with me every step of the way. They were extremely respectful and I wouldn't say bent over backwards but they did go out of their way a little bit to make sure I was taken care of.

Oh, and another issue/complaint: it is pretty unprofessional to have temps too busy with their own conversation about a sex noise complaint to actually be helpful.

Great, large windows (biggest positive!), interesting and unique floor plans and friendly staff. Not the most flashy or updated apartments but no major issues! I've enjoyed living here!

Also got some BS from the lady about how UPS and Fedex lie about packages being delivered, although when I've gone based off of the Fedex or UPS email and not the one the apartment complex sends out they magically have it. I don't believe UPS or Fedex sends out an email magically 3 days before it's delivered.

Beware of spiders! I swear I've killed hundreds of them. There's only like a $1 fee for pest control and it's pretty obvious you get what you pay for. Apartment is nice. One of the leasing staff let me walk back to search through packages which didn't seem very professional or secure at all without checking my id or anything...she was too busy with another conversation. Also, on 3 separate occasions I've had unleashed dogs come running up to mine. She's not good with other dogs.

OH! And bonus, you have to request for pest control to actually be a thing..apparently they just take your money and don't actually service you unless you specifically tell them you want that.

I am renewing because I have to, not because I want to. I would move in a heart beat.

To add onto the fun, leaf blowers have been going constantly for the past 5 straight hours, which is like nails on a chalk board.

The new leasing specialist is rude to the core. No consideration for these people to the how long you have stayed. Are ready to loose renter even if he has good credit rating. I think they have problem if you are trying to renew lease for less than a year. I could not use my one bedroom and attached bathroom or more than 1.5 months after I moved last year in May. The whole bathroom was stinking due to blockage from inside and it took two attempts and about 1.5 months to remedy the problem. I gave 1 rating because I had too , otherwise not more than 0.5 worth.

UPDATE:

So went in to renew and they didn't have the paperwork ready after telling them 2 weeks ago and watching them put it down on a post-it note.

One last thought: Upon renewing I have to contact my insurance company and jump through more hoops because they're having me change some minor stupid detail.

They also try to make money off of you by making you rent out a carport to help solve all your parking problems that Harpeth River Oaks has. It's the worst place ever. Not to mention one of the workers in the leasing center is always giving me an attitude or gives you smart ass comments whenever I walk in just to ask a question about bills or whatever cause Harpeth River Oaks are always/has made mistakes in your bills.
