The place itself feels very "real", probably because of all the original paint, brick, wood. Feels classic.
All that I can say is “wow”!!
The food is of extremely high quality, so in my opinion worth the price. The place, decorated for the holidays, felt somewhat magical.
We are visiting from out of town, but when we come back to Franklin will certainly return here ready for another great dining experience!

We were led upstairs, out of the cold December air. The warm after the cold was a great relief. Every table had an excellent view of the stage, where a wonderful band played, (they say they play every week).
Fantastic atmosphere and friendly owner and staff. Pear pizza was fabulous. Coconut cake was life changing. Our group of 12 got to know the people at tables around us, who all ended up singing and laughing together. An all around great experience. We highly recommend it.
The food is phenomenal, we were a party of 5 adults and everyone loved their meals! I had the lemon ravioli and it was incredible! The service is really great too. Our server, Kayla, was always attentive to check in on us, refill our drinks, and make sure we were happy with our meals.
Great meal today at Gray's on Main; this historic building was re opened in 2014 as a top notch restaurant. If you're in Franklin be sure to give it a try. They specialize in a number of dishes and the cocktail selection is excellent. Live music is also available in the evening on many dates.
I would definitely return again for special occasions.
After reading the reviews online, I had very high hopes for my experience. Unfortunately, the food felt very average at best. The buttermilk dressing on the Ceaser was very thin and weak in flavor. I had the fried chicken which came highly recommended by the staff. The chicken was very greasy, the mashed potatoes were a gluey and the green beans could have come from a can. The mustard sauce was quite good, though. The craft cocktails were unique and featured some interesting pairings. I would go back to Grey's on Main for a cocktail and an appetizer, but I'd skip on the meal.
