STAY AWAY! Charged an extra $100 to my card as a refundable deposit. They said they weren't supposed to charge it. They put me on hold FOREVER! Their "manager" will review it. I'm still out on my money! STAY AWAY!
The people that work at this Avis are helpful, and always provide excellent service. I would recommend renting a car here.
This us not a rating for Avid in general... this is for this location. I travel a great deal for work and use this location often. Ever since it was bought put and moved into the Embassy Suites.. it is horrible. I am Preferred Plus and it took me 40 minutes in line to puck up a car! One guy working at the speed of a sloth and 2 others just standing there. I finally get my papers for my car... and he says it will be a minute, we have to go clean it!!!
This place is a mess!
Worst place to rent a car. Waited 15 minutes for someone to just come to the counter
Next time I will just stick with Enterprise and pay the higher price due to their reliability and better customer service. This was my first and last time using Avis.

All of the customers in line were pissed. One had left luggage in the truck after a return.. and they rented it out. Never even checked the trunk! Then.. Never apologized either.

I prepaid for a suburban to drive my family of seven and all our stuff to FL for fall break. When I arrived to pick it up, the suburban was given to another customer! I had to settle for a minivan as they had no other large suv's. We had to leave much of our stuff in Franklin because of the space difference between a suburban and a minivan. There was no refund or offer of a credit. The next day I called customer service and spoke to two folks I coundn't understand. Was eventually escalated to a customer service manager who said I would get an approximate credit of $100. $50 for the ride difference and $50 for the nuisance.
