This is the second time I have bought and sold at this location. The employee was rude from the minute I walked in. She greeted me with "We're doing store credit" I thought she was asking my so I replied "oh I'm not sure yet if I'm doing store credit or cash yet". She replied with "No I'm telling you...we're only doing store credit". She said the owner had just decided to only issue store credit. The website was not updated to reflect this nor did they tell me this when I called the day before. I drove an hour just to come to this location.
I’ve been going to Once Upon A Child in Franklin for a few years and have sold and bought from them, and while I don’t expect high end clothing from a consignment shop I do expect nice quality which this place lacks. I buy my children nice clothes from retail stores and when I go to sell them I expect to get a little money back but I sold 8 items and most were nice jeans I only got $12. I will never sell to them again. I had clothes rejected for “stains” that were not present when half their clothes on their shelves are outdated and worn out. I saw a shirt that my son has on a rack for the same price I originally bought it for in a retail store. I’ve seen nicer clothes at goodwill for cheaper than this place. I won’t be going back.
Great new and used clothes, shoes and toys for babies and kids. I miss the days when they were right by Aldi and we could stop in any week. They have a great selection with high quality products. You can sell gently used items here for store credit.
We like this children's consignment store. Great place to find name brand gently worn clothing at reasonable prices. They also have baby equipment and toys.
My husband and I went to Once Upon a Child for the first time last night. We are expecting our first child in April. 1st thing, according to google, they close at 8 pm. When we got there there was a sign on the door that they would be closing at 7 pm. No big deal, we arrived at 6 pm, but I would have hated to have drove all that way(45 minutes) and not been able to shop. The older lady that was working was very rude. She rolled her eyes when we entered, like we were inconveniencing her by being there. We looked at a swing and asked if we could plug it in. She acted like we were offending her. She drug the swing behind the desk, and was slinging it around while trying to plug it in. After messing with it for several minutes, we came to the conclusion it was not working as it should. We came up to the counter with the few clothing items we bought and told her we would pass on the swing. She responded in a rude manner by saying, "Oh no, don't feel compelled to buy that (swing) after all that *Roll Eyes Again*". I was so excited to go here and start buying things for our daughter. I will not be back. I will pay full price online.
Associate was also on her personal phone while I was waiting for her to help. The 1st time I visited this store, the employees were rude and condescending about my clothing. I will not be shopping or selling here again. I will take my business to the Antioch store where Ive had a very pleasant experience.
