When I get there I am greeted by a grouchy groomer (not the sweet lady who has always groomed Puffy! ) She informs me his Rabies info needed to be updated...really it's Saturday!! I love in Antioch, you have had us down on the books for 3weeks!!! Not to mention when he was there last someone could and should have mentioned they needed me to bring updated records!
My daughter and I stopped by to check out the new store in our neighborhood. Loved the selection, even if the prices were higher than were we normally buy our Natural Balance food for our dog. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. Thrilled to have a place in the "hood" that grooms dogs for a reasonable price and convenient to get supplies! We will be back! Hopefully today to have our Bulldog groomed!!
Great prices for such a small place. Not QUITE as good a selection as a larger store (obviously) but the customer service and friendly environment make up for it. My older kid asks to go here by name, to check out the cats up for adoption. I'm afraid we may end up getting one at this rate! Great, convenient location. We're regulars for sure.
Awful experience. I was followed everywhere. The staff wasn't even knowlegable about the products. He asked ME if the collar in his had would be reflective. I was not left alone just to walk and look at choices. CONSTANTLY followed. Even after I had small talk with the man and brushed him off he kept talking and standing very close. NEVER again.
It's a 45 minute drive there not to mention it was 93* out today! Then to be greeted and taken care of by a snot!! I won't return...
Two experiences. Went in to check out the new store and to use a coupon that I had received. (Interesting that it was addressed to my ex husband, who had never lived at my address. Would love to know where they bought my contact info.) Anyway, an ok retail space with moderately helpful staff. The selection is very lacking, especially for small animals, and prices are high. Had to make a second trip to Pet Supermarket to get what I needed. What really disappointed me was a conversation I had with their grooming department. I asked about pricing for grooming my toy poodle when I saw "walk ins welcome," and was intrigued. Not for long. Prices START at $50 but only for an all-over shave. Since not many poodles sport that look well, I asked for a quote for a simple saddle cut. They would not quote a price at all...only that it would cost me $1 per MINUTE for any scissoring at all. No thanks. I frequent several local pet stores for different needs...Nashville Pet for Fromm dog and cat food, Petsmart or Pet Supermarket for small animal supplies or pet toys, sometimes Petco if it's convenient. Will leave Hometown Pet off my list.
I am putting a one star, wish it was a NONE star! This situation could have been handed in a more professional manner.
I was a bit upset today, when I went to my pet grooming appointment and was tuned away! My dog had been groomed their many times before, and we waited to get into this appoinment three weeks!
I work in a medical setting, if they have the time to look to see if their is an appointment available and verify the dog, my name, when we were there last and telephone it would have taken an extra minute or two to have checked to see if I needed to bring anything with me!!!
