J & A Cleaners (or $1.98 Cleaners) provides a better value than any other dry cleaner I have used, and I have used many. Miguel Cruz is a pleasure to work with and he does great. My shirts come back crisp and clean; my suits are refreshed and make me look like an executive. I love the pricing, and I if I didn't love the service I wouldn't drive 15 miles to use Miguel exclusively. The other Google+ poster must have just had a fluke experience.
Consumer beware of this business establishment. The prices are good and the man who manages is quite nice but he cannot compensate for how horrible the woman is who works with him, I'm thinking it may be his wife. A while back my wife dropped off some shirts to be cleaned and when she returned to pick up the items one of my favorite shirts was missing. The woman working there denied the item missing and treated my wife terrible making her feel like she was crazy for accusing the establishment of losing my shirt. Not good. I have been shouting from the rooftops how bad this woman treated my wife ever since and have come to find out that this is not an isolated incident. Several other acquaintances of ours have said they lost items of theirs and received the same rude attitude and trearment from the same woman who works there. This is inexcusable and this woman should be removed from the of the establishment.
Please do not go to this place they ruin my dress and they did not care. The owner told me.......sue me. Very bad business. They did not deserve a 1 star.
They have and will continue to lose business from my family and from many others, as I continue to warn people.
I just left J and A dry cleaners in Franklin Tn . They ruined a very expensive shirt of mine and when I brought it to Miguel's attention, he became very defensive. He told me to just roll my sleeve up and then took it upon himself to get in my face and walk me to door. He was actually trying to get physical. I am twice his age with a white beard. It was embarrassing...what an experience...
I have never taken the time to write a bad review, but this time I felt the need.I have repeatedly received a quote for cleaning, hemming, etc...and then when I go to pick it up..they want to charge me more and withhold my garments until I pay. This has happened repeatedly and the first time I let it go as a misunderstanding...but this time it was made clear upon drop off what the charge would be (since I made sure of due to previous misunderstanding), but they withheld my garment until I paid the increased amount. They also did extra services (pressing and cleaning) when they were not even authorized to do the hemming we had discussed. And when I got home..they had ruined the garment anyway. Heed my advice and stay away..or you will only have yourself to blame. Once bitten...twice shy..or in may case..trice shy.
