Had the Vacuum for two weeks , still not repaired. Never returned my call. No good customer service.
It would be worth $10 to me to keep my business local and help my local economy.
I have it under good authority that recent changes to those guidelines give all of the Nashville area stores, including Clarksville Tn and Bowling Green Ky, the ability to meet or beat any other Oreck offers.

David Eaton I believe he said was his name is a HERO! I almost got rid of my vacuum because I thought it was broke and sure enough I called David and he walked me through how to troubleshoot and fix my magnesium!!! WOW! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Before Christmas I took an old (really old) Dyson in for repair because it didn't have much power - thinking I'd spend around $50 - $100 to fix it. After talking to the store manager, I ended up trading in my broken Dyson for $200 credit towards a brand new Oreck Magnesium and got it below any prices I could find online or anywhere... AND it works great. This new Oreck is the lightest, strongest vacuum I've ever used... really. It was more than fixing my really old Dyson, but It was a great deal and I'm glad I did it. My old vacuum NEVER worked like this. Really glad I made my way to The Oreck Store. The staff was great and it really was easy, and I didn't even know trading in an old vacuum was an option!
This is in response to "Price Gouging". I am afraid "songbirdlsl", if your comments are even true, you have been taken advantage of. What the other representative neglected to tell you (so he/she could sell you) is that Oreck Direct and the local stores have different owners who each ( because this free enterprise and not communism ) determines the guidelines for each rep / manager for pricing.
