The same employee that admitted his boss is a crook also had this genius recommendation for me - I first called Providence to tell them that the car I had just bought several months ago is not working at all. This same employee finally calls me back and says oh we will make it work out, it will be ok. Later, the employee recommends I take the car to a Euro Fix. I had the car towed (on my dime) to Euro Fix where I then found out the engine is ruined. I call back the employee to tell him it will be 6K to repair. This same person who recommended the mechanic tells me "OH, I would NEVER take my car to a Euro Fix, they will overcharge you every time!" After Simon told me he could probably do the job for half the price of Euro Fix - Surprise, now he claims he doesn't have any mechanic that can do the job at all. I should also probably mention that he told me to my face that he "called and spoke to Euro Fix specifically regarding my car." I called the manager at Euro Fix to ask him about this situation - He had NO RECOLECTION of this conversation with Simon. A complete lie. Meanwhile, Simon is giving ME a guilt trip because "his time is worth $300 an hour at the dealership and he has to take the time to help me." It is disgusting and makes me sick to type this. Any used car dealer who makes you feel bad about this situation and lies about his time being worth $300/hr is a crook.

I went to Providence Auto Group after feeling like the dealership was trying to take advantage of me. As soon as I walked in and talked about the car I was interested in Simon provided me with in-depth data regarding the car, how and when he purchased it, the car's actual condition, and his asking price. The asking price was fair to both parties and Simon's willingness to share car history and marketing data was incredible. I spent 2 hours at the dealership getting shuffled around, but I was ready to make a purchase from Providence within 10 minutes. I had a great experience with Simon and Jonathan Johnson, and I'll definitely go there first to buy a car in the future.

The car buying process is never perfect or easy. All I ask for is honesty and communication. PAG, specifically Simon, provided exactly that. I was told up front what fees/percentages to expect, as all businesses have to make money. Simon talked with me to figure out what the best option would be for my wife and I including make, mileage and my budget.

I was given consistent updates on potential options and he was able to find a great car. As expected, there were a few hick ups along the way, partially due to buying so close to a holiday. I was informed of any issues or problems promptly and in depth.

Turns out - there is a class action law suit against VW for this issue. (Side note - DO NOT BUY A 2012 VW 2.0 Turbo.) Of course - Simon never notified me of this and VW will only repair the issue if under 60K miles. The VW he sold me has 72K miles. This has been an absolutely horrific experience and we are not done with Simon and his company. This is not the last he will hear of us and I beg you to not trust this excuse of a man who has based his "business" on Christian values. A complete hypocrite and a horrible person. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere other than Providence Auto and spread the word.

I will be referring everyone I know as this is easily the most positive experience I've had buying a car.

The owner's name is Simon. Simon calls himself a "Christian" who gives a portion of every sale to charity. Of course he does. Simon is a complete liar and a thief. He will rob you blind, give you a t-shirt, and do it all with a smile. The fix for the VW engine (the car looks new btw) costs $6,000. I owe 9K on the car. Simon has given me the run-around for months offering to take zero hit on the car and no option other than selling me another car at full price. This is AFTER he said to my face - "if I were you, I wouldn't worry about purchasing the warranty". He said this because I was debating different cars and how much my monthly payment would be. He has done nothing to help. He even said he would hold a Volvo for me to trade my VW and roll over my loan for a different car. (By the way -This is him selling me another car at full price with no hit to him at all). He then sold that car without letting me know (after claiming I would have first "dibs" on the car. When I called him out, this was his response - I quote his text: "A person bought it that was thrilled with the Volvo and our company". He had the audacity to throw that in my face as I am a 30 year old who just needs a working, decent car. SIMON IS A LIAR. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALER. They never call you or respond to you unless you contact them constantly regarding an issue. But rest assured - they will sell you a car in 5 minutes. I spoke to an employee at the dealership who made it seem like I as completely nagging him about this issue. Rude and disrespectful. I told him what Simon said and the employee responded - I quote: "Simon should have NEVER suggested that you do not get a warranty." HE SAID THAT ABOUT HIS OWN BOSS!

I really did not know that this kind of car buying experience existed! I couldn't say enough wonderful things about our purchase experience! Mitch and Gabriel were truly wonderful! They even noticed that, based on their experience, we werent getting the best rate from our lender and found us an even better rate, loan and monthly payment!

I can't stress this enough, at not point did I feel like I was being lied to, tricked or dragged along. Simon did an excellent job of keeping me informed and I couldn't be happier with the car or the process that it took to get it.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER - PLEASE READ. This is the definition of an absolutely crooked business. I traded my 2004 Xterra for a 2012 VW (72K miles) in March 2017. Only SIX months later - The engine of the VW needs to be completely rebuilt - a $6K mechanic bill. This is the definition of being sold a complete "lemon" from a worthless dealer.

Highly recommended, great value and knowledgeable staff. A+

They were kind and patient with our child in their office and SO TERRIFIC! We are customers for life!
